Importance of the IYC’2012

Bangladeshis one of the main victims of global warming.Environmental pollution and many more destructive activities against the environment are increasing day by day. If this keeps goingon, our world might be unsuitable for living according to experts. Environmental conservation is the reality of current world.

We all know that, Bangladesh is one of the most over-populated countries of the world. A significant portion of the population is youth. These young minds are the creator of the future of Bangladesh. If this massive youth is united, they can fight against global warming and create an environment friendly generation in the future. So, to unite this youth strength of Bangladesh and make them conscious about major environmental issues, this international youth Conference will be organized.

As inhabitants of the Earth, we are responsible for how we treat the Earth. The Earth feeds us, it takes care of us. But do we take care of it? No, we don’t. Instead we pollute the air, the water and the land; we degrade ecosystem and we deplete natural resources. We cause thousands of species to be either extinct or endangered. We treat the Earth as if we own it. Now the Earth is in peril and it needs our united effort to save it from our own hands. Thus to spread awareness and to raise a sense of environmental consciousness the youth environmental organizations must come under one umbrella and work together. International youth conference’2012 can be fruitful for the future involvement of different environmental organizations to form Bangladesh Youth Network for environmental issue, which would be very significant for creating the environment-friendly generation.
